These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to the GradeHouse public website and, where applicable, use of the GradeHouse school information Platform by authorized school users.
1. Who we serve
GradeHouse is provided to schools and school districts under a separate services agreement / order form. Individual parents, students, and staff access a campus tenant only by invitation from that school.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential. You may not attempt to access another school's data, probe or disrupt the service, reverse engineer the Platform beyond lawful interoperability, or use the service for anything other than legitimate educational / administrative purposes authorized by your school.
3. School content and student records
Education records and other school content remain owned and controlled by the contracting school. GradeHouse processes that content as a service provider / school official as described in the Privacy Policy and any signed FERPA/COPPA addendum.
4. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected on /terms with an updated effective date after legal review.
5. School text messages
Operational SMS is a school program, not a GradeHouse marketing list. Families opt in separately; consent is not required to use GradeHouse or remain enrolled. Each campus publishes SMS terms and privacy at /s/{campus-slug}/sms-terms and /s/{campus-slug}/sms-privacy (no login). Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradeHouse is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the public site. Platform liability for paid school customers is governed by the services agreement, not these website Terms.
